Baofeng UV-5R Dual Band Radio

The Baofeng UV-5R is a proven, affordable dual-band handheld radio for amateur radio, monitoring, training and general communications use. Its compact design, straightforward controls and broad accessory compatibility have made it one of the most widely used entry-level radios available.

The UV-5R supports VHF and UHF operation with selectable high and low transmit power. It provides 128 programmable channels, dual-frequency display, dual watch and independent A/B band operation. Additional features include CTCSS and DCS tones, wide and narrow bandwidth, VOX, channel scanning, busy-channel lockout, keypad lock, emergency alert, FM broadcast reception and a built-in LED flashlight.

The radio uses the common Kenwood-style two-pin K-plug connection, making it compatible with a large selection of speaker microphones, earpieces, PTTs and programming cables. Its removable antenna uses an SMA-F connection.
