The CASTOR Field Whip provides VHF and UHF capability in one flexible antenna. Built with a full-length superelastic nitinol element, it bends during movement and handling and returns to its original shape. A protective outer covering and quick-change BNC connection support everyday field use.

Designed for users carrying a dual-band handheld, the Field version prioritizes VHF performance while offering UHF capability—a practical choice for mixed-band communications when you want to carry one antenna.

Compatibility and performance

Connects directly to handheld radios with a compatible BNC antenna connection. SMA-equipped radios require the correct BNC adapter, sold separately unless included in your selected package.

The Field Whip is a compromise design and generally performs best on VHF. The SWR specifications apply at the respective center frequencies and do not guarantee the same match across both entire bands. Actual performance varies with the radio, adapter, and operating conditions.
